ASE exhibitors at ID4AFRICA – 18th – 20th June 2019, Johannesburg
ASE / SPM was present at this important conference for the complete two days.
Salvatore Ciotola (ASE CEO) and Denis Zaghetto (Area Sales Manager, Addis Ababa) represented ASE/SPM on their stand. The rush of visitors to the stand confirmed Industry’s interest in ASE/SPM solutions.

Africa’s largest Identity-Development conference has been held in Johannesburg, hosted by the Department of Home Affairs, South Africa.
A record number of senior level African government officials attended with over 650 decision-makers from a diverse cross-section of government stakeholders, representing 50 African nations. The remaining 900 delegates from 95 countries represented international organizations e.g. UNDP, UNICEF, UNSD, UNHCR, World Bank, African Development Bank, the Asian Development Bank, ICAO, IOM, a large number of governments, the private sector (including the international and African Identity Industries, banking and FinTech).
Privacy, data protection and appropriate use of identity, were all addressed, resulting in the launch of a Roundtable of African Data Protection Authorities (RADPA), on the first day. Results of initial discussions were shared with the wider community, later in the conference. Assessing progress, sharing experiences and best practices and establishing priorities for the African identity community were all detailed.
